Here are the links to the notes for the whole unit as well as individual unit quizlets. Today we finished with the Lymphatic system (aka Immune System) and will take a Mastery Check next time on Nervous and Lymphatic together.

We are getting close to being done with the body systems unit. Today we learned about the Nervous system. You can access the notes and quizlet by clicking on this link. Please make sure that you stay on top of it. We will also have a presenter from the Intermountain Donor Services. We are onto the 8th system in the Body Systems unit. Students will be working on a Nearpod to guide them through the notes and the video that I have attached here as well. The Nearpod code is CJVFX. You can also scroll down to find the whole unit notes with the slides we go over in class. Those slides can also be found in canvas. We have learned the Circulatory, Respiratory, Muscular, Skeletal, Digestive, Excretory and Integumentary Systems at this point. If you are still not feeling confident, make sure you find the quizlets or watch videos to help prepare you. There are a couple of key concepts to be thinking about as we move on. Once of those is homeostasis which is the bodies ability to maintain a normal, stable environment. Be thinking about how each system works on its own and with other systems to help maintain those normal, healthy conditions. Structure and function helps these organs work together in a system. Another concept is that of homologous structures and their comparable structures but different functions in animals with a similar ancestry. We are onto the 7th system in the Body Systems unit. I have attached a video here. You can also scroll down to find the whole unit notes with the slides we go over in class. Those slides can also be found in canvas. Today we are starting out by reviewing the 3 body systems we already went over. Those are Circulatory, Respiratory and Muscular. Students are creating a poster using this worksheet. Once we complete that we are moving onto the Skeletal System. Here is a link to the notes I will be using during the whole unit. Please make sure that you are looking at these and canvas for updates. There will be a Mastery Check on Skeletal and Muscular in the middle of next week.
