Today in class we shared the graph and conclusion from the Heart Rate Lab we did last time. Once we completed this, we began on the Ecology unit by reading about the Yellowstone National Park phenomenon. Please view this module in canvas. You should do all 4 readings and questions in your notebook as well as the interactive food chain. Once that was completed we began by turning a poster into an infographic.

By the time you come to class today, the graphing notes should be completed and the variables practice should be submitted on canvas. Then you will be ready to complete the practice assessment and begin the Heart Rate Lab. The Heart Rate lab should be followed step by step to create an investigation on how heart rate changes with different activities. The information on this lab will be written in your science notebook.
Today we practiced logging into Canvas and working on the Introductory Unit. Please work all the way through the Variables Practice before coming to class next time. We will begin next class by creating an investigation of heart rates.
Ecology Unit Slides Please check here if you miss days or need an update on assignments. The calendar is also helpful. This week we did a break out box activity, went over disclosure documents, set up our science notebooks and started on the core work. We are also asking that Biology students bring an empty 2 liter bottle to class for an aquaponics system we plan to use. We will also need a scrap of fabric such as an old sock. If you have any questions or concerns please email me at [email protected]. Thanks!!!
