Today in class, the counselors are taking students to learn about Utah Futures. This will take a little more than half the class period. With our remaining time, we went to visit our plants and evaluate if they needed water. We then returned to class to review the material we had learned since the beginning of school. Please play this quizlet to make sure you are ready for the test next time.
Today in class to took Mastery Check #3 on Matter Cycles. Please review the modules in Canvas to be prepared for this. We then moved on to media bias and ecosystem relationships which is also in Canvas. We will be taking a test on Ecology next week so review all the material available in Canvas to ensure you are ready for this.
Today in class we reviewed all the information that was on the Mastery Check last time. Students have one week to retake this Mastery Check without any additional assignments. Next we reviewed the Matter Cycles from last time which are Nitrogen, Oxygen, Carbon and Water. We then started discussing media bias and started on those modules in Canvas. Please be prepared to take a Mastery Check next time on Matter Cycles and finish media bias.
Today in class, we are taking a Mastery Check on Food Production. Please make sure you have finished Day 1 and Day 2 of the Food Production modules in Canvas to be prepared for this.
Once we have completed this, we will be moving onto the Matter Cycle modules. All 4 of these cycles should be drawn as diagrams in your notebook and notes should be taken on them. We will be reviewing the material in the next class period and taking a Mastery Check. Today in class we reviewed the material from Day 1 of the Food Production module in Canvas. We then moved onto Day 2. We will have a Mastery Check next time on energy conservation strategies and food production. Please be prepared by going over your notes, the slides Mrs. King has been showing you, and practicing this Kahoot quiz.
Today in class, we created a flow chart to review the information we learned last time in Day 1 of the Food Production modules in Canvas. We then set up our aquaponics tanks for an investigation into the modification of an environment. We will begin Day 2 of Food production next time and then students should be prepared for a Mastery Check on the information.
Today in class, students logged into Canvas and worked on the Day 1 Food Production modules. Please complete these modules before class next time.
Today in class we did the Energy notes from the end of the Yellowstone Module in Canvas. We discussed the 10% rule as far as energy transfer and heat loss and then we talked about food gains and pyramids. We watched several videos to determine the strategies that animals will use to maintain as much energy as possible and we answered questions about each. All of these can be found in Canvas. |
