Today in class we reviewed the nearpod that students went over last time on Asexual and Sexual reproduction. We talked Mitosis and did the Mitosis dance!!! We then began learning about a process called Meiosis. This is very similar to Mitosis with a few exceptions. It goes through all the phases a second time. It does not go through Interphase a second time however. We don't want the cell to duplicate its DNA again. The end product of Meiosis as a result is 4 unique cells with half of the genetic information as the parent cell. This different from Mitosis which gives us 2 identical cells.
